Through Bettomax, Watanga FC donated $1,000 USD to support the initiative’s efforts in providing medical care for mothers and their babies.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Bettomax Operations Manager, Fallah Braima, emphasized that the gaming company’s commitment goes beyond profit-making.

“We are touched by the incredible work the Help a Mother and Newborn Initiative is doing for women who lack the resources for medical care. Bettomax is here not just to do business but to make an impact in Liberia, especially in the health sector,” Braima said.

Braima added, “This initiative is inspiring, and we are proud to support it. Every day, young girls get pregnant without support, and your work to provide medical assistance is commendable. We hope this donation strengthens your efforts and helps prevent unwanted pregnancies in our communities.”

He also praised the initiative’s young founder, Lela Precious Dolo, for her dedication, calling on others to support such impactful work.

For her part, the Executive Director of Help a Mother and Newborn Initiative, Lela Precious Dolo, expressed gratitude for the support.

“This donation is a blessing for us and the women and children we work with. Since we started, we have assisted over 150 mothers and babies, including young girls as young as 13 who’ve already given birth. This will go a long way in providing medical care and raising awareness to prevent unwanted pregnancies,” she said.

Dolo highlighted the challenges faced by pregnant women, especially in rural areas, and called for more support to improve maternal health. She assured that the donation would be used effectively to improve the lives of mothers and children.

Watanga FC CEO G. Andy Quamie praised the initiative and pledged continued support.

“For a young lady like you to take on this huge task, we are grateful. This will not be our last time supporting you. With Bettomax by our side, we are committed to working with you to save more lives,” Quamie said.

He also announced plans for future awareness campaigns to highlight the initiative’s work.

For the past five months, Watanga FC and Bettomax have supported several health facilities and needy communities as part of their corporate social responsibility agreement.

This partnership between Watanga FC and Bettomax underscores their shared mission to uplift vulnerable communities, particularly in the health sector, through meaningful contributions and sustained collaboration.
