MONROVIA — Trokon Roberts, Chief Executive Officer of newly promoted Liberia Football Association (LFA) Second Division side Tebeh FC, has called on his players particularly new signings to focus on correcting their mistakes following back-to-back pre-season defeats against top-flight opposition.

Speaking on Friday, September 10, after Tebeh FC suffered a 7–2 loss at the hands of First Division side Heaven Eleven at the Vocal Mission pitch, Roberts emphasized that pre-season friendly matches are meant to expose tactical and physical deficiencies rather than deliver results.
Earlier in the week, the Second Division newcomers lost 4–2 to First Division club, FC Fassell.
Addressing the squad, Roberts urged the players to direct their full attention toward refining their tactical discipline, physical sharpness, ball retention, and execution in front of goal.
“The main reason we plan to play at least five to six friendly games before the LFA 2026/2027 national league resumes is to evaluate our newly signed athletes,” Roberts said. “We need to assess their performance under pressure, evaluate their physical and tactical capabilities, and prepare them for the challenges ahead.
Winning is not the priority here we recognize that FC Fassell and Heaven Eleven are two of the strongest clubs in the First Division. We plan to play three more friendly matches before the season kicks off.”
Roberts reminded the squad that the head coach and technical staff are closely monitoring every player’s decision-making, passing accuracy, and composure on the ball.
While commending the technical team and players for earning promotion to the Second Division, the club president warned that the upcoming campaign demands greater effort.
He urged the players to maintain discipline on and off the pitch.
