Monrovia – In fulfillment of a promise made last year, Prince Opoku Walker, CEO of Prince Walker Group of Companies, has presented $10,000 to Liberia’s First Division football club, Blackman Warriors FC. The donation was made on March 14, at the club’s headquarters in the PHP community.

The financial gesture comes after the Warriors’ impressive 2-0 victory over Pags FC in October 2023, which secured their promotion to the First Division League.
Walker, also the CEO of USA Veterans and Small Town Musical Group, had promised the team the $10,000 reward for winning the Second Division Championship.
Musa S. Kamara, General Manager of Prince Walker Group of Companies, delivered the cash on behalf of Walker and reaffirmed the CEO’s ongoing commitment to supporting sports and humanitarian efforts in Liberia.
Kamara also encouraged the team to remain focused on both their football careers and education, reminding them that there is life beyond football.
“We believe this donation will help the team financially and motivate the players to perform even better,” said Kamara. “We want them to continue working hard as a unit and to strive for even greater success.”
In response, Blackman Warriors FC President, G. Nelson Meanyeah, expressed gratitude to Walker for fulfilling his promise and for his continued support of the club. He emphasized that the donation arrived at a crucial time for the team.
“This donation is an extra boost for us,” said Meanyeah. “It will help with our games and provide financial stability as we continue competing. We are grateful to Mr. Walker, who has been a true man of his word.”
Meanyeah also noted that Walker had previously supported the club with boots and other donations, strengthening the relationship between the CEO and the team.
The Blackman Warriors’ morale was further boosted over the weekend after they secured a 2-2 draw against Invincible Eleven (IE) in the first leg of the Orange Cup semifinals, coming back from a two-goal deficit.
