Liberia: Ministry of Labor, Rise Talent Accelerator Launch LiberiaWorks to Transform Job Access and Workforce Development

In his keynote address, Hon. Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah, Sr., Minister of Labor, described LiberiaWorks as a transformational leap in bridging the gap between jobseekers and employers

Monrovia – The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Labor, in collaboration with Rise Talent Accelerator, has officially launched LiberiaWorks — a groundbreaking national initiative designed to connect Liberians to real employment opportunities and enhance the country’s workforce competitiveness.

The official launch was performed by Ambassador Ora Richards of the Ministry of State, representing Hon. Samuel A. Stevqouah, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs.

Held at the Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, the ceremony brought together senior government officials, private sector leaders, development partners, and youth representatives — marking a major milestone in Liberia’s ongoing drive to build a modern, data-driven labor ecosystem that matches skills with opportunity.

Delivering special remarks, Amb. Ora Richards reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to youth empowerment and job creation through technology and innovation.

“LiberiaWorks reflects the Government’s vision to ensure that technology serves the people — by connecting citizens to jobs and giving businesses access to the skilled talent they need to grow,” Amb. Richards said. “This initiative demonstrates how partnership and innovation can drive sustainable national development.”

In his keynote address, Hon. Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah, Sr., Minister of Labor, described LiberiaWorks as a transformational leap in bridging the gap between jobseekers and employers.

“LiberiaWorks is not just a digital platform — it is a national employment ecosystem,” Minister Kruah emphasized. “It ensures that every Liberian, regardless of background, can access decent work opportunities while giving employers a transparent and reliable system to find qualified talent.”

The LiberiaWorks Initiative is built on four integrated pillars designed to deliver innovation, transparency, and measurable impact:

LiberiaWorks Platform – A national digital job board connecting jobseekers and employers in real time.

National Junior Associates Program (NJAP) – Offering structured graduate employment, mentorship, and on-the-job training.

Integrated Workforce Hub – Providing real-time labor market insights and analytics to guide policymaking and investment.

Liberian Talent Registry – A national database showcasing the country’s skilled professionals across sectors.

Speaking on behalf of the implementing partner, Mr. Sei Philip Pleiwon, Director of Rise Talent Accelerator, underscored the organization’s dedication to advancing Liberia’s human capital through technology-driven solutions.

“We are proud to work alongside the Ministry of Labor to build a system that empowers Liberians, promotes transparency in recruitment, and builds employer confidence,” Mr. Pleiwon said. “LiberiaWorks is about giving our workforce the visibility, dignity, and access they deserve.”

Private sector leaders, including representatives from the Liberia Business Association, hailed LiberiaWorks as a timely and strategic intervention to close the nation’s skills gap and prepare its workforce for the demands of a modern economy.

The initiative aligns squarely with the Government’s ARREST Agenda, emphasizing technology-led growth, youth empowerment, and inclusive job creation.

With the platform now live, Liberians nationwide are encouraged to register at www.liberiaworks.org

to explore opportunities, connect with employers, and participate in a new era of digital employment access.
