MONROVIA – Two Liberian strikers were on the scoresheet in the Malaysian Super League over the weekend, representing their respective clubs. Kpah Sherman, who has been one of the most informed Liberian strikers in the last two years, scored for his team Sri Pahang in their Round 10 fixture against Terengganu. The match ended in a 2-1 win for Sri Pahang, with Kpah Sherman scoring the opener in the 31st minute, and his teammate Nor Azam Azih securing the victory with a goal in the 68th minute. Croatian forward Ivan Mamut scored for Terengganu in the 39th minute to briefly level the match.

In another Round 10 fixture played on Thursday, Liberian forward Abu Kamara found the back of the net for his club Kuching in the 35th minute against Penang. After being set up by a teammate, Abu Kamara lobbed the ball over the towering Penang goalkeeper with his left foot to put Kuching in front. However, Penang fought back with two goals from defender Muhammad Akmal and Lebanon international Hassan Ali Saad in the 45th and 51st minutes respectively, resulting in a 2-1 win for Penang. Abu Kamara’s goal was not enough to lift Kuching from their 12th spot in the 14-team Super League.
