Delivering the keynote address, Madam Vivian Faith Chea, Director of TVET at the Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS), lauded the collaborative spirit and unwavering commitment that have brought the institution this far, just three years into its existence.
“You have finished the very first step. This is only the beginning of your educational journey,” she told the students, urging them to hold their heads high and remain grounded in the values and lessons they have acquired.
“Your vision, leadership, and positive support have built this academic structure,” she said, commending parents, teachers, and school leaders.
“Keep moving forward with positive minds, hold firmly to the lessons, and remember—this is not the end, but the launch of your growth.”
The guest speaker described the ceremony as a “significant milestone” and encouraged students to continue their pursuit of knowledge, as the school lays a solid foundation for their future.
Meanwhile, the school’s principal, Mr. James A.A. Morris, reaffirmed VAMUCO’s commitment to academic excellence.
Highlighting the school’s adoption of the Ministry of Education’s curriculum and its focus on STEM education, he said the institution is determined to produce students who are prepared not only for college, but for life beyond the classroom.
“We want to grow a school that will make a difference – not just in Liberia, but across the sub-region,” the principal declared, noting: “We are striving to be an outstanding academic institution.”
He praised the collective efforts of parents and teachers, emphasizing that the school’s successes have been achieved through unity and dedication.
As part of its continued growth, the principal announced that VAMUCO will maintain its bus service this year and is also in discussions around launching student exchange programs and forging educational partnerships.
Also, in a warm and inspiring message, the school’s Proprietor, former Representative Corneh, extended appreciation to all who contributed to making the year a success, highlighting the joint efforts of parents, staff, and students.
“It gives me immense joy and gratitude to welcome you all to this special occasion. Today, we gather not only to celebrate the conclusion of another academic year, but also to acknowledge the hard work, perseverance, and growth of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support of our parents,” the special message reads.
To the graduates, the Proprietor offered words of encouragement and pride, describing their completion as a “significant milestone” on their educational journey.
“You have shown determination, resilience, and a hunger for learning. As you step into the next chapter of your lives, I urge you to hold firmly to the values and lessons you have learned within these walls.”
He also extended heartfelt thanks to parents and guardians, recognizing their critical role in the success of the students and the school at large. “Your partnership and support have been instrumental. You entrusted your children to our care, and together, we have nurtured them.”
The message also paid tribute to the dedicated educators and support staff, praising their passion and tireless commitment to ensuring quality education and moral development.
“You have gone beyond your call of duty. I am deeply proud of what we have achieved together.”
As the school closes the academic chapter, the Proprietor called on the community to reflect on their collective achievements while embracing the promise of future growth. “Let us look forward with hope and determination to even greater accomplishments in the years to come.”
The ceremony closed on a high note with congratulations to the graduates and prayers for continued blessings upon the school and its growing legacy of excellence.
“May Allah bless you all and bless Vamuco International School Center of Excellence. We hope to graduate students who will perform excellently in the WASSCE and will be equipped for global opportunities,” he said.
