Despite seeing improvements in his players, Coach Taylor urged them to continue their positive engagement in training if they hope to further develop their skills in the sport of handball.

Taylor emphasized that the academy, which was established in November 2024 by the Liberia National Handball Association (LNHA), is dedicated exclusively to female athletes and is sponsored by former Liberia Sports Ambassador Alioune Kebe.

He added that the academy currently has 40 girls, and the majority of them are responding positively to the training. He hopes they will maintain their dedication to reach their goal of becoming experienced handball players.

“The athletes currently train at Len Miller High School Campus. The academy’s sponsor, Liberia Sports Ambassador Mr. Kebe, made it clear that he is committed to supporting an academy for only female athletes because girls are often vulnerable in society and need help. That’s why he agreed to sponsor this academy,” Coach Taylor explained.

Also speaking, Alioune Kebe shared his commitment to the development of athletes in various sports, including handball. “As Ambassador of Sports, my support is not limited to football; I aim to help all athletes passionate about sports. When I was approached by officials of the LNHA, I immediately agreed to sponsor the academy, but it should focus exclusively on female athletes, which they accepted,” Kebe said.

Kebe further revealed that, as Sports Ambassador of Liberia, it is his responsibility to support athletes who are passionate about sports. He expressed his admiration for the dedication of the young female athletes and promised to continue supporting the academy until they are ready for future competitions both domestically and internationally.
