Brewerville – After calming down the conflicting primary saga between him and the now ANC Candidate for Montserrado County District #17 Abraham Sesay, George Curtis is back on his political feet receiving an endorsement from prominent residents of the district.

This time with the Vision for Liberia Transformation headed by Jeremiah Whapoe, Curtis believes it was a result of hard work and good relationship he is receiving the blessings of his constituents.
The former Brewerville City Mayor who is opting to represent his people welcomed an endorsement over the weekend, from D. Myres Chedare, a man believed to be one of the famous citizens among the people living in Montserrado County District #17.
The district is represented by William Dakeh who is seeking reelection in the upcoming October 10, legislative elections on the ticket of the Congress for Democratic Change.
But Myers told a group of citizens attending the ceremony that in spite of his popularity with them, Curtis was the right choice at this time, stating the former Brewerville City Mayor’s enormous contributions that have somehow help in transforming the lives of inhabitants.
He said Curtis long stay with his people coupled with his eagerness to see that basic social services are brought to his people serve as a clear indication that he can do well for the district.
“His platform and strategy to see our district transformed from its current stage is the same as mine and so the best decision I could make is to allow him go since he, (Curtis) had been serving his people,” Chedare said.
Chedare frowned over the lack of health facility coupled with the mismanagement of district development fund which he attributed to the bad representation his people are currently experiencing.
He wants his supporters to carry Curtis as representative comes October 10 as a means of delivering them from bad district governance.
Curtis who accepted the endorsement describes it as one of those factors that give him more enthusiasm to represent his people.
“My work can speak for me. I have lived with them and I was the first person to bring them Bank and look forward to doing more for my people,” Curtis said.
He wants the people of Montserrado County District #17 to rally support for him in order to keep up the development work he has been carrying out.
The former Brewerville City Mayor at the same time sees the endorsement he is receiving as a clear indication to his opponent that he has no major contender for his constituency.
Curtis called on residents of Montserrado County District #17 to remain lawful and avoid violence during the electoral process.
