Deesire Moore Grace Foundation to Launch Women’s Empowerment Initiative, Targeting Hundreds Across Liberia

MONROVIA – Hundreds of Liberian women are expected to benefit from a new women’s empowerment initiative to be launched next month by the Deesire Moore Grace Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by U.S.-based Liberian humanitarian Deesire Moore.

The initiative aims to equip women with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to achieve greater economic independence and become active contributors to their communities.

According to the foundation, the program will focus on expanding access to vocational and leadership training, entrepreneurship, advocacy, psychosocial support, and community development. Organizers say the initiative is designed to empower women by providing practical skills, building self-confidence, and creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods.

In addition to supporting women, the Deesire Moore Grace Foundation works to improve the lives of young people and vulnerable families through educational assistance, healthcare outreach, humanitarian relief, and public awareness campaigns across Liberia.

Foundation officials said beneficiaries will receive training aimed at helping them establish or expand small businesses, while also increasing awareness of women’s rights, gender equality, and community leadership.

The organization noted that vulnerable women will also have access to psychosocial support and humanitarian assistance, with programs extending benefits to their families through education and other social interventions.

The foundation believes that investing in women is essential to strengthening families, reducing poverty, and promoting Liberia’s long-term social and economic development.

The official launch, scheduled for next month, is expected to bring together women from different communities across the country, with organizers expressing optimism that the initiative will positively impact hundreds of Liberian women and inspire lasting change through education, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.
