
With profound sorrow and heartfelt grief, we regret to announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Waito E. Davis (WED).
This sad event occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in New York, United States of America, after a brief illness.
She leaves to mourn her children:
Clarice Yaskey, Wesley Davis, Joyce Pukie Selekpoh, and James Sasha;
her mother, Ms. Marie C. Davis;
her brothers, sisters, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She also leaves to mourn several family members and friends in Liberia, the United States, Europe, Ivory Coast, India, Africa, and beyond.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS
Wake Keeping over the remains of Madam Waito E. Davis will take place on
Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex, starting at 6 p.m.
On Friday, April 24, 2026 at
9:00 a.m., the body will be removed from the St. Moses Funeral Parlours.
Funeral Service will be held on the same day,
Friday, April 24, 2026, at
Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church,
St. Joseph Parish, beginning at 10 in the morning.
Interment follows at the
Shita Flowers & Vault Cemetery in
Careyburg City, Montserrado County
The deceased was a product of the Booker Washington Institute (BWI), where she also served as a member of it’s Board of Governors, and the University of Liberia. She was also a dedicated staff of the cement-manufacturing company, CEMENCO, for many years.
