Monrovia – Mobilizing for Grand Cape Mount (MGCM) has ended a month-long county tour and Ramadan donation in Grand Cape Mount County.
Speaking at the final donation ceremony in Mecca, Gola Konneh District, the Organizing Chairperson Madam Kula Nyei Fofana said the donation was her institution’s way of identifying with the Muslim Community in Grand Cape Mount County during the just ended holy month of Ramadan.
The county tour began May 9th, 2019 in Robertsports, Commonwealth District and continued to Sinje, Garwula District, to Tienni Town, Tewor District, Mano River Kongo in Porkpa District and ended in Mecca, Gola Konneh District.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, the Chief Imam of Mecca Town, Gola Konneh District, Alhaji Feika praised Madam Fofana and her team for the donation adding that the gesture was first of its kind for the people of the community. He further pledged his commitment and support to the organization and prayed for cordiality.
Also speaking was Imam Mohammed Malad, Tewor District Imam and member of the Tienni Central Mosque. Imam Malad expressed gratitude to Madam Fofana for the donation in Tienni said it has been more than ten years since such a gesture was extended to their community.
The donation included bags of rice, prayer gowns, kittles, water etc.
In closing, Madam Kula Nyei Fofana also thanked the Muslim Ummah for successfully completing the holy month of Ramadan and for praying for the county and country. She expressed gratitude for the warm reception and prayers offered her team and looks forward to continue working relationship with the county. She thanked donors of her institution for making the tour and donation successful. She has at the same time extended sympathy to the people of Grand Cape Mount County, the families and friends for the death of Senator Edward B. Dagoseh, and prayed God’s guidance, and consolation to his wife Mrs. Magdalene Dagoseh and children.
