MONROVIA — The Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice, headed by Magistrate Ben Barco, jailed the brother-in-law of a businessman who is now a Representative of Nimba County District #7 on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He is popularly known to be the son of Rep. Bility.

The defendant, Peach H. Bility, was charged by the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency with unlicensed possession, sale, and distribution of controlled drugs or substances, and forwarded to court.
According to the LDEA charge sheet, predicated upon the complaint by and through the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency, Republic of Liberia, on March 24, 2024, at 11:26 pm, and based upon intelligence, defendant Peach H. Bility, aged 36 and a Liberian, was apprehended on Miami Beach and seized from him were 21.4 grams of Kush and 500 grams of Marijuana.
The value of Kush is US$428.00 or its equivalent L$81,320, while the Marijuana is valued at US$500 or its equivalent L$1,425,000.00.
Following his arrest on Miami Beach, he was turned over to the investigation section for an in-depth probe.
Accordingly, prior to the conduct of the investigation, he was informed of his constitutional rights to a lawyer. Having been informed of his rights to a lawyer, phone call, and to remain silent, he wrote his voluntary statement in the presence of his lawyer.
During the preliminary investigation conducted with the accused to establish his link with the commission of the crimes, he admitted that he was arrested while smoking a narcotic substance (marijuana) publicly on the beach.
He further disclosed to the investigation that the following items were discovered during the search of his vehicle bearing plate #A-41029 Gray Nissan: Marijuana 500 grams, Kush 21.4 grams, a single-barrel gun, one orange-colored gun, and one black pistol with ammunition.
Furthermore, during the period under review, the investigation discovered that the marijuana and kush found in his vehicle were being used without a doctor’s prescription, thereby violating sections 14.85 and 14.89 of the New Amended Drug Law of the Republic of Liberia.
In view of the foregoing and coupled with physical evidence in the possession of the investigation, defendant Peach H. Bility is hereby charged with unlicensed possession, sale, and distribution of controlled drugs or substances.
