At the launching ceremony recently in Gbartala, Bong County, the mission director of the organization, Harris Korboi said the organizations will build shelters and provide educational opportunities for the homeless, orphans and school going children.
“We are ready to build mission homes here – where we will be able to carter to orphans, destitute and less fortunate children in the country. We will work to create opportunities for every child to learn in the Country,” Korboi said.
Mr. Korboi noted if opportunities created for children, especially orphans and those living in abject poverty, it will reduce poverty and burdens in Liberia.
Delivering a special message on behalf of the Chief executive officer, Helen Flemister, Rev. James Lablah lauded the organization’s founder for being farsighted in helping Liberians.
Mr. Lablah said after meeting with residents of Gbartala years back, Madam Flemister assured them of ensuring a better life for children of the area. He noted the launch of the program is the manifestation of the promised she made to people of Gbartala.
Meanwhile, the program was attended by cross session of citizens of the area including local leaders, school going children and parents, among others.
The residents thanked the organization for the ‘meaningful’ program and promised to take ownership by rendering every support to ensure the successful implementation of the projects at hand.
