MONROVIA – Liberian Football First Division side Heaven Eleven has signaled a bold shift in ambition with the appointment of veteran tactician Cooper Sannah as head coach for the remainder of the season.

Sannah, the current head coach of Liberia’s U-20 Men’s National Team, joins the Paynesville-based club following his departure from Bea Mountain FC.
He was officially unveiled during a training session at the SKD Practice Pitch, where he assumed immediate control of the “Messengers” ahead of the league’s final stretch.
“We Want the Title”
Heaven Eleven Technical Director Melvin George told FrontPage Africa that the appointment is a clear statement of intent.
Despite the club currently sitting 10th on the table with 21 points from 17 matches, George insists the trophy remains the target.
“We did not bring Coach Sannah here just to participate,” George said. “We brought him on board to compete for the title. That is the objective of this club.”
A Championship Pedigree
The club’s confidence is rooted in Sannah’s extensive résumé. A proven winner in the Liberian top flight, Sannah has secured league titles with Barrack Young Controllers (BYC), LPRC Oilers, and Watanga FC, in addition to a successful stint at LISCR FC.
“His past record speaks for itself,” George added. “He has won the league with different clubs, and that experience is exactly what we need at this stage. This is a coach who knows how to win under pressure.”
Overcoming Inconsistency
Heaven Eleven’s campaign has been marred by defensive lapses and a lack of clinical finishing, leaving them mid-table and struggling to meet early-season expectations.
The club hierarchy is banking on Sannah’s trademark tactical discipline to correct the systemic issues.
While the “Messengers” face an uphill battle to bridge the gap with the league leaders, the arrival of one of Liberia’s most decorated coaches suggests the club is no longer willing to settle for mediocrity.
“We are aiming high,” George declared. “And we believe Coach Sannah can take us there.”
