MONROVIA – On Thursday, November 17, 2022, Volunteers for Sustainable Development in Africa (VOSIEDA) signed a 20 million SEK grant agreement with the Swedish Embassy in Monrovia. The amount, if converted at the current rate, is equivalent to 1.9 million United States Dollars. The grant will support over 60 farming groups in rural Liberia, particularly Nimba County, through low-carbon / climate-smart agriculture initiatives. It is expected to impact over four thousand two hundred (4,200) farming households or 21,000 farmers.

Monrovia – A delegation from the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA)   Customs Department has arrived in Liberia on a study tour at the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA). The two-week visit will enable the team to gain deep knowledge and understanding of the system, activities, and procedures of the LRA Customs Department Post Clearance auditing processes. They will study the LRA’s compliance and enforcement measures, anti-smuggling and post clearance audit approaches, audit planning, audit soft skills and data-matching among others. -Launched First Ever Relational Competency and Peace-building Tool in Liberia The Foundation of Women (FFW) in partnership with Change Agent Network (CAN) has begun liaising with authorities at the Ministry of Education (MOE) for the introduction of “Safe Conversations” (SC) into the Liberian educational curriculum. The goal is to teach SC dialogues and tenets in all schools within the borders of Liberia. This remarkable relational competency and peace-building tool was introduced to Liberia in 2020 through a partnership between Change Agent Network – USA (CAN) and the Foundation for Women (FFW), both organizations currently operating in Liberia. 

A Liberian Humanitarian has received four prestigious awards from reputable organizations based in the United States for her consistent advocacy and untiring supports towards the improvement of the wellbeing and dignity of thousands of less fortunate Liberians, including children and old folks in Liberia and other parts of the world.
