Monrovia – The Safer Community Initiative of Liberia in partnership (SCIL) with ForumCiv on Monday, December 5, ended a two-day farmers’ engagement rights and way forward training, on climate action in Tubmanburg, Bomi County. SCIL is a local non-governmental organization operating in the county that was established in 2018 with the aim to create awareness on Land and Forest management for a three-year duration.

Abidjan – The Board of directors of the African Development Bank Group has approved financing for the Emergency Food Production Program in Liberia, paving the way for the government to support farmers to increase climate resilient food production and mitigate the impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine. The Board approved a grant of $2.28 million and a loan of $2.84 million from the Bank’s Transition Support Facility, on 22 November 2022.

Monrovia – More than 1,800 Liberian students in 15 primary schools across Gbarpolu, Montserrado, and Nimba Counties now have civics textbooks, thanks to the USAID-funded Elections and Democracy Activity (EDA). In cooperation with the Ministry of Education in its commitment to reintroduce civics education in schools after a thirty-year absence, this project is implemented by Democracy International (DI) together with local partner UMOVEMENT. Monrovia – Some unknown men on November 30, at midnight stormed and subsequently vandalized the American Procurement Services Corporation-Liberia (APSCO) head office located at the corner of Warren Street and Camp Johnson Road in Monrovia. Monrovia – Two Liberian international referees have completed an intensive Video Assistant Referee training in the North African state of Casablanca Morocco. Female FIFA badge Sylvina Garnett and new FIFA badge Emmanuel Mensah departed Liberia for Morocco on November 20 to join other African referees to participate in a ten-day VAR course. The course was based on practical and theoretical sessions and started with basic training, working through VAR protocols, and the VAR simulator.
