MONROVIA — The United States Acting Assistant Secretary for Global Public Affairs Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau will travel to South Africa, Tanzania, Liberia, and Belgium from November 7 to November 17, 2022. Her 10-day trip will prioritize working with U.S. diplomatic missions on policy and messaging priorities, including the importance of press freedom and countering disinformation, media empowerment and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and government corruption and accountability. Acting Assistant Secretary Trudeau will meet with government officials and civil society organizations, foreign media outlets and press, influencers, students, journalists, and U.S. diplomatic mission staff.

Monrovia – The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the Business Startup Center (BSC) Monrovia, with support from UNDP, is pleased to announce the Youth Startup Business Plan Competition 2022 for young, ambitious youth interested in starting their own businesses. Monrovia-A huge consignment of outboard YAMAHA engines has arrived in Liberia as part of efforts by the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) to enhance the capacity of local fishermen in the country. This is in addition to the first set of more than 500 pieces of motorized engines donated to the Liberian government through NaFAA by the Japanese government for free distribution to local fisherfolks.

To curtail this, the Society for the Conservation of Nature of Liberia (SCNL), with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), has been working with a brand of youth for environmental ecosystem protection.120 youth, known as “Youth Ecobrigade” have been selected from Sinoe and, Grand Bassa Counties respectively to help protect the seashore and the communities.
