MONROVIA – The Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) welcomes the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Government of Liberia and the United Nations regarding the AFL’s contribution to the UN Peace-keeping Operations in Mali (MINUSMA). July 26 is observed every year as a national holiday in Liberia. It is a day set aside to commemorate Liberia’s independence.
