Monrovia – For the first time, Simeon Davies, the driver of Liberty Party Secretary General Martin Saye Kollah who is at the center of the Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) missing US$70,000 says he is innocent. He is accusing key party stewalts of stealing the money.
On the evening of December 15, 2022, CPP confirmed to FrontPageAfrica that its Secretary General’s driver absconded with US$70,000 intended to fund the December 17 ‘We’re Tired Suffering’ Rally.

“We had just started paying people and because of the huge crowd, I left my driver in the office and tried to divert the crowd downstairs so that I could have space to pay people who were hired to render services. It took me less than five minutes to get back, the guy, my driver was missing and he left the keys in the car with the doors opened,” Kollah told FrontPageAfrica at the time.
According to Mr. Kollah, the money was being used to purchase water, print additional T-Shirts, and pay for transporting people to the December 17, 2022 rally outside the SKD Sports Stadium.
On the 27 of December, CPP announced to the public that it has launched an investigation into the missing US$70,000 that was intended to fund the December 17, 2022 ‘We Tiya Rally’. The party, at the time, called on the public report to the police the where about Davis to the National Police.
It is almost a month after the CPP announcement, Davis took to the airwaves for the first time as a guest on Spoon TV, a live television podcast to give his side of what went on that fateful December 15, 2022, the day the CPP’s US$70 got missing.
Davis Speaks Out
Davis who lived and grew up in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County, and has been the driver for Mr. Kollah for nearly two years says he is innocent of such money.
“I do not know about the money. Martin Kollah and Lewis Brown know about the money. The money was given to them,” Davis said.
According to Davis, he has been battling a “spiritual health illness” and had told Mr. Kollah on several occasions that he wanted to go on health leave.
On the day the money went missing, Davis says he told Mr. Kollah that he was going on medical leave and was given a go-ahead by the Liberty Party Secretary General, Mr. Kollah.
Davis added: “I was ill, my issue has to do with spiritual matters and I have been telling Martin Kollah for me to go on a medical break. On the day I was leaving, Martin was aware. I was going on a spiritual matter. The security and people saw me leaving the compound.”
Martin Kollah: “Davis is a criminal”
After the TV show, the CPP Secretary General took to social media (Facebook) and posted that Davis is a criminal and accused Stanton Witherspoon, the CEO of Spoon TV of aiding him.
“The man said he has spiritual problem, He’s spiritual criminal, you should be ashamed of yourself Stanton Witherspoon of aiding a criminal.
Disclose his location if you are honest Mr. Spoon CEO,” Mr. Kollah posted.
The Secretary General of CPP Mr. Kollah accused Mr. Witherspoon of coaching Davis to tell lies against him.
Kollah added: “I feel your pain, you are aiding a criminal on the run, a figutive, and now you are exposed. You will hear from me. This guy is a criminal who has been complaining since the evening of December 15, 2022, and you are the only person making contact with him speaks volumes.”
