Monrovia – Mulbah Morlu Chairman of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has criticized individuals in government who were part of Monday, September 24 2018 protest held by some aggrieved Liberians.

According to Morlu, government workers could not have done so under the regime of former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf.
“People in government who are supposed to be working for the people were protesting against the government they work for. You could not have done that under Madam Sirleaf. You cannot hold a canoe and hold the shores.
“You cannot be in government and be inactive; you were hired to work and not to protest,” Morlu said.
The CDC chairman in a press conference Monday said the actions by some citizens could create the space for terrorist to exploit. “Do not endanger the peace of the country,” he said.
In response to the issue of the alleged missing billions of Liberian dollars, Morlu claimed that people agitating are doing so because most of their former bosses in government are traceable to the missing money and promised that those liable in the missing money investigation will be held liable.
“They are campaigning against your interest to the world.”
Morlu commended partisans of the CDC for being tolerant to the protesters on Monday because, according to him, the freedom to protest now enjoyed was what he and other members of the CDC fought for in the past.
“What we fought for as a party has come to reality under President Weah. Every time they want to protest we will provide police protection and a marching band. You will not be arrested for addressing your views.
“CDCians are tolerant we will not be distracted from implementing the pro-poor agenda,” said the Chairman of the ruling party.
