Monrovia – In a bid to promote self-sustainability and economic empowerment, Her Voice has officially launched its AgriBusiness Clinic, targeting women, youth, local farmers, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with a focus on value addition in agriculture.

Speaking at the launch, Her Voice Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Cllr. Margaret Nigba Gayedyu, said the initiative aims to transform local farming by promoting modern techniques, improved packaging, and stronger market linkages.
“When farmers add value to their products, it gives them a competitive edge,” Gayedyu said. “It is time we see attractive packaging of local produce such as palm butter and potato greens on our shelves.”
Under the theme “From Farm to Table – The Organic Way”, the clinic plans to elevate local agriculture through field schools, merchandise farming, and capacity-building programs, enabling farmers to move beyond traditional practices.
Gayedyu also urged SMEs to meet compliance standards to access greater opportunities and support. “Registering and meeting the right processes will position you to attract investment and capacity-building support,” she emphasized.
Deputy Agriculture Minister for Planning, David Akoi, lauded Liberian women for their dominant role in farming, calling them “the backbone of Liberia’s agriculture sector.” He encouraged them to adopt more creative and innovative approaches to increase productivity, noting that the government is developing new strategies to further empower farmers.
The launch featured a panel discussion with representatives from government ministries, agencies, and sector partners, providing practical insights on value addition, marketing, branding, and product safety. Farmers in attendance received hands-on guidance to strengthen their competitiveness in the market.
