The arrest took place on June 30, 2025, at around 11:45 a.m. during a hot pursuit operation behind Zoe Lewis School in the Gardnerville area.
LDEA officers apprehended Sesay and found 47 ounces of kush, a potent form of cannabis, with an estimated street value of $30,000 or about 5.7 million Liberian dollars.
After a thorough investigation, Sesay was charged and handed over to the Gardnerville Magistrate Court for prosecution under Liberia’s drug control laws.
The LDEA reaffirmed its commitment to fighting illegal drug trafficking and abuse nationwide, intensifying efforts to dismantle drug networks and bring offenders to justice.
“This arrest reflects the LDEA’s ongoing resolve to protect communities from the harmful impact of narcotics and ensure the safety and well-being of all Liberians,” the agency stated.
The LDEA also called on the public to support its efforts by reporting suspicious drug activities and standing united against the growing drug abuse threat in Liberia.
