
Monrovia – The Liberia Football Association (LFA) Montserrado Sub-Association on Sunday, July 6, successfully concluded its 2025 Grassroots League with an exciting display of youth football across the U-10, U-12, and U-15 divisions.

The finals, held in a festive atmosphere, highlighted the growing talent pool in Liberia’s grassroots football scene and showcased the potential of the country’s next generation of players.
In the U-10 category, GSA Road Youth Soccer emerged as champions after an impressive tournament run. The young team earned praise for their disciplined play, team cohesion, and maturity beyond their years.
Jakpah FC claimed the U-12 title following a season marked by consistent performances and tactical awareness. The team demonstrated strong technical skills, underlining their potential for further development in the sport.
The U-15 final delivered the most dramatic moment of the day as underdogs Champ United upset tournament favorites Nation One in a tightly contested match. Champ United’s resilience, skill, and determination secured them a memorable victory, sending their supporters into wild celebrations.
At the closing ceremony, J. Melton N. Yoko, Chairman of the Montserrado Sub-Association, commended all participating teams for their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship.
He emphasized the LFA’s continued commitment to using grassroots football as a key driver for community development and national progress.
“The energy and talent displayed in this tournament show that the future of Liberian football is bright,” Yoko said. “We remain committed to identifying and nurturing young players through structured programs like the Grassroots League.”
