According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred on Saturday night after the couple attended a feast in the area. Though they reportedly spent time together during the event, tensions flared later when Naomi asked George to spend the night at her home, a request he declined.
The refusal reportedly sparked a confrontation between the two. Witnesses say Naomi struck George at the back of his neck with a stick, rendering him unconscious. Community members attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful. He was later pronounced dead.
Following the incident, Naomi allegedly fled the scene. Police in Margibi County have launched a manhunt to locate and apprehend her.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
