He told FrontPageAfrica securing a point away from home means they can get the needed results at home on Saturday June 6, 2024.
Coach Kun said his players performed to expectations in their away clash against Kandakai FC and through their tactical ball possession they took the lead in the 49th minute through striker Gabriel Omala’s shot.
The home side Kandakai FC made a quick comeback through Thomas Nagbe’s defensive error that led to an own-goal in the 61st minute.
“My reason for saying that my players performed well against their opponents is that we played on a bad pitch, which created a serious setback for our players, but notwithstanding, we were the first to score before the game ended 1-1 draw.” Kun said.

He assured his team’s chief executive officer, Pokah Robert, that their players are ready to secure a convincing win against Kandakai FC in their second leg scheduled to be played over the weekend at the Tusa Sports pitch.
For his part, the head coach Kandakai FC, Zico Dorley, called on his players to learn from their poor passes and finishing touches they carried on against their opponents and put into better use their scoring chances in their return leg against.
“I’m pleased to say thank you to my players for their 1-1 draw. I hope they will learn from the number of missed chances they failed to convert,” he said.
Meanwhile, a Liberia Football Association’s investigation panel has ruled in favor of Mighty Angels, awarding them a 0-2 win, following chaos that disrupted during the 3rd Division Zone A play-off match with Blue Lake in Tubmanburg.
The game was abandoned in the 82nd minute, when home fans physically attacked the match officials after a penalty was awarded to Mighty Angels, who were trailing 2-1.
The investigation panel ruled in unison with both the referee and venue Coordinator’s reports, which stated that Blue Lake supporters ‘’invaded the pitch and physically attacked’’ the referees after the penalty call.
In addition to losing the first leg on forfeiture, the panel also resolved to place further sanctions on Blue Lake, including a period of one-year, Blue Lake FC will no longer use C.H Dewey or any match venue in Bomi County as their home, and C.H Dewey MUST have security before any other play-off game is played at said venue.
The sides meet in the second leg of the tie-on Saturday in Bopolu, where Blue Lake will try to overturn a 2-0 deficit.
