Recently social media reports emerged that a lawmaker who is running for re-election in the district 14 allegedly order his supporters to beat a lady who opposed the lawmaker’s supporters from placing campaign posters on her wall, but FrontPageAfrica is yet to verify the report.

In District #1 Margibi County, Diana Tongar in her 50’s is a supporter and a foot soldier of Mr. Tibelrosa Tarponweh a candidate on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC).

She was injury to her eyes after being beaten by some men who she cannot identify.

“Luckily while I was being hit by the men on my head, I went between one of their legs and that was how my teeth came in contact with his private part I chew it and that was how they released me after I acted unconscious,” she said.

Ms. Torgan could not say whether or not her attackers were opponents of her candidate but said the case according to her has been reported to the Police and said, their camp has received several threats since they joined the campaign of Tarponweh.

“They didn’t steal from me I think their mission was to hurt men and not about stealing from me and I heard them say let’s go tell the Papay we finish with her,” he added.

Tarponweh condemned the attack and sees the attack on his supporter as unacceptable and has challenged his supporters to remain civil promising that such attacks will not intimidate him or his supporters.

“This is the first physical violence.”

“There have been various threats by people from the opposition camp or people who don’t like the fact that we are doing what we are doing but I have said to my supporters don’t be violence if you act violently you are not representing me.”

We will win these elections on ideas from sleeping giants call district number one so those who want to prey on our supporters are sending a wrong signal.
