United Nations Names Liberian Prelate As Peace Ambassador

Margibi County – Liberian prelate, Prophet Sammy A. David has been named the United Nations’ Peace Ambassador to Liberia. At a well-attended ceremony in Enugu State on Thursday, June 14, 2018 the president of the International Association of World Peace Advocates, Per Stafsen lauded Prophet David for his countless efforts in speaking against ills in the society and striving for peace in Liberia.

The program was also attended by dignitaries of the United Nations World Peace Advocates.

As UN’s Eminent Peace Ambassador to Liberia, the Liberian Prelate is charged with the responsibility of establishing the United Nation Peace Advocacy office in Liberia through which programs and plans for the maintenance of peace in the country will be foster.

Speaking to FrontPage Africa Wednesday, June 20 at the Robert International Airport upon his returned from Nigeria, Prophet David said it is a privilege to be trusted with role by the United Nations.

The God’s Family Church International Founder and General Overseer told this paper that the ambassadorial position is a testimony of his service to God.

He said his new portfolio is a blessing to Liberia as he will strive to unite the country.

“I am so honored because I do believe that God is faithful always when you served him diligently he will reward you openly. So, it is a blessing not only to me but the nation Liberia, so I just want to be grateful for such an honor giving to us”, prophet David noted.

The new UN Peace Ambassador to Liberia said he will work with the government of Liberia in uniting and reconciling the people of Liberia, adding that his role as pastor is similar to that of a peace ambassador.

“When we looked back at the country after 14 years civil conflict and now that God has made me a UN Peace Ambassador, I am going to work with the government of Liberia to see how we can work out the peace process of this country.

“First, a pastor is also a peace Ambassador, so the UN just add it up an Ambassador of Christ blending it with the United Nation is just to make my work bigger.”

“I want to say to all Liberian to hold on to God. Do not look down upon yourselves, do not discredit your little beginning, whatever you are doing in the corner nobody looking at you, keep doing it one day God will pick you up and bring you to the public,” prophet David averred.
