Monrovia – The Liberia Football Association has unveiled plans to upgrade the George Weah technical center in Caresburg, rural Montserrado County.

The plan upgrading of the sporting facility will eventually usher in a new foreign coach for Liberia for next two years.
The foreign Coach under the full support of FIFA will help development young talents in Liberia as part of the talent development scheme program initiated by the LFA recently.
Speaking to our reporter, the President of the LFA,Mustapha Raji hailed Executive Committee members for their support, hard work and engagements which is gradually seeing the improvement of the game in Liberia.
He at the same disclosed the increase in women and youth participations in the game in rural Liberia, something he stated will further improve the game better across the Country.
Raji at the same time stated that the LFA is already far ahead in terms of preparation ahead of Liberia’s double world cup qualifiers at home next month.
As part of the plans, President Raji told our reporter that the LFA has already set up a set team headed by Executive committee member Nyumah Nyanway to work along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports while budgets for the two games have also been submitted to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
He re-echoed government’s full support for the National Team something he pointed out was again recently evident of the two international matches away from home even though the team was massively defeated but he added that the friendlies are meant to give the coach a better time and chance and to ensure that coach Keita select his best players for incoming games and competitions respectively.
