Both announcements came during the FIFA Council meeting in Zurich, Switzerland.
The appointments are the result of a thorough consultation process involving FIFA’s member associations and confederations, aimed at strengthening global football governance.
According to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, the new standing committees are intended to increase participation from member associations, enhance technical expertise, and promote greater female representation in football administration.
“The new Standing Committees will lead to the greater involvement of our Member Associations, the confederations and other stakeholders in our decision-making processes, increased female representation and more focused technical expertise in various areas relevant to football,” Infantino said.
Raji’s Continental and Global Recognition
Raji’s selection as Deputy Chairman of the Olympics Football Committee reflects the trust and respect he commands at both African and international levels. Under his leadership, the LFA has launched programs to develop domestic football, improve infrastructure, and enhance Liberia’s presence on the global stage.

Serving on FIFA’s Women’s Football Development Committee, she will help shape development programs, grassroots initiatives, and pathways for female footballers.
