Maryland County – Several residents of the southeastern part of Liberia have assured female Presidential candidate, Macdella Cooper that they are with her to the finish line.
During the Liberia Restoration Party (LRP) county tours in the southeast for the imminent Presidential and Representative Elections, LRP Standard Bearer who is the only female President candidate was welcomed and received by Churches, youth groups, elders, women groups and traditionalists of every county.
Rev. Joseph P. Wholuba of the United Pentecost council Assemblies of God Church in Maryland said they are so excited to welcome the one who they have chosen because they believe she is the right one to lead and deliver them from their sufferings.
“This is the day that I had yearned for, so you are welcome to the land of sunshine, Maryland County, and we are in this struggle with you to victory because it is a blessing for you and for all of us. You are the ‘new day’ we have been wishing for. Marylanders, this is our opportunity; let’s get hold of it,” Rev. Wholuba asserted.
He mentioned further that they are people who have the fear of God; they do not deceive people when they say they are for you; they are for you and you only. He said that it’s never too late because good things are very hard to find.
Rev. Wholuba added that it is about time that the southeast produces another good President to transform the lives of the peace loving people of Liberia.
“We, the Southeasterners are noted for producing great leaders and we will hold together to produce another one but this time it will be from the female side. My daughter Macdella, we are with you today and forever,” he stated.
For her part, LRP Standard Bearer Macdella Cooper said that it is the responsibility of a government to make sure that every citizen gets basic health care and promised to also drop the ratio of one doctor to 50 patients to something suitable for every citizen.
Candidate Cooper added that it is the government’s responsibility to give every citizen affordable housing facilities not mud houses and to also give them assorted meaningful education to make them understand and create a better system that will make the country and its people a prosperous nation.
She said that it is time for the young people to get prepared because their future is now, not tomorrow and they need education even though education is not all because some educated people are heartless, they do not give ears to the people once they are in government, but called on the youths to understand that education is indispensable.
Candidate Cooper narrated that her aim of entering in the Presidential race is to see that young persons in this country acquire better education so that they can no longer be called “zogos” but rather the future of Liberia.
She said if elected as the legitimate President of Liberia it will be mandatory that all children acquire better education to compete with others around the world.
