MONROVIA – The People’s Power Movement (PPM) has announced a sweeping Global and National Leadership Structure following its formal registration as a political movement, describing the appointments as a strategic step toward consolidating its organizational base at home and abroad.
In a press statement released Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the movement confirmed the unanimous endorsement and appointment of key officials across its Diaspora and Liberia-based structures after what it termed weeks of consultations, internal discussions, and coordination by its Central Executive Committee.
“After registering as a lawful national political movement and having held weeks of serious consultations, internal discussions, deep reflection, and coordination in pursuit of a new and pro-people Liberia, the Central Executive Committee of the People’s Power Movement (PPM) has unanimously endorsed, confirmed, and appointed” members to various leadership positions, the statement said.
Diaspora Leadership
Heading the Global (Diaspora) structure is Abraham Doedeh, appointed Global Chairman and based in the United States. He will be supported by Abigail M. Dour, Vice Chair for Administration (USA), and Henry Garneo, Vice Chair for International Affairs (USA).
Other key diaspora appointees include Joseph Barbour – Vice Chair for Fiscal Affairs (USA), Abu B. Foray – Vice Chair for Operations (USA), Francis Dadzie – Vice Chair for Resource Mobilization (Canada), Samuel S. Sakama – Vice Chair for Legal Affairs (Australia), and Johanchal Wrobeh – Secretary General (Canada).
The movement also named officials in Germany, Turkey, China, France, and Sweden, signaling what it described as a broad international footprint.
National Leadership
On the national front, the PPM appointed Zinnah M. Benson – Vice Chair for Planning and Projects, Dianun S. Somah – Vice Chair for Gender Affairs, John Gabriel – Deputy Secretary for Legal Affairs, Fatimazahra Aboubacar Maiga – Deputy Secretary for Program, Ramsay T. Sumanie – Vice Chair for Training and Education, and S. Rakitic P. Dennis, Sr. – Vice Chair for Mobilization.
According to the statement, the appointments represent the first phase of a broader restructuring process, with additional positions expected to be announced both globally and nationally.
“As PPM engages all Liberians in redefining a fresh start for a better Liberia that protects the ultimate interests of the people, especially the marginalized and underprivileged, more appointments will be made both globally and nationally,” the statement noted.
Positioning itself as a grassroots-driven movement, the PPM issued a call for inclusion across social and economic sectors, encouraging youth, women, professionals, persons with disabilities, members of the diaspora, and other groups to join what it described as “a movement of integrity, patriotism, and transformative vision.”
The Secretariat claimed that more than 9,000 individuals have registered through its online platform, a figure it says reflects growing national and international support.
The statement was signed by “The Secretariat, PPM,” and included contact information spanning North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Liberia, underscoring the movement’s claim to global reach as it positions itself within Liberia’s evolving political landscape.
