Margibi County Launch Campaign to Support Unity Party

Kakata, Margibi County – In an efforts to rally the supports of the women of Margibi County to the ruling Unity Party (UP), the Margibi County Women Congress of UP has launched the know your Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates campaign.

Mariam Donzo, the Chairperson of the Margibi County Women Congress of Unity Party said that the program was the commencement of the process of garnering the involvement and supports of the women in the county for the Presidential bid of Vice President Joseph Boakai and running mate, House Speaker James Emmanuel Nuquay.

Speaking over the weekend in Kakata, Margibi County at the launch of the know your Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates campaign, Madam Mariam Donzo promised her group preparedness to canvass throughout  Margibi County in a bid to get the needed votes for the party’s Presidential and vice Presidential candidates in the pending October 10, 2017 representatives and Presidential elections.

The Margibi County Unity Party Women Congress Chairperson noted that the huge turnout at the launch of the know your Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates campaign signifies their intend and readiness to move from street to street, town to town, village to village to encourage people to support the Unity Party.

At the same time, Grand Cape Mount County Senator and Chairman in emeritus of the ruling Unity Party, Cllr. Varney G. Sherman launching the Know Your Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates campaign said that the October 10, 2017 elections is basically about the country’s next generation, adding that Liberians need to vote people who have the required knowledge and experience on how to move the country forward and better the lives of the young people.

Senator Sherman averred that as Liberians search for leaders who are loyal to their country, they should consider electing the Unity Party’s Presidential candidate Amb. Boakai, who according to him, has been loyal over the years to his country.

He stated that Amb. Boakai’s loyalty and patriotism to Liberia are unquestionable.

Cllr. Sherman indicated further that the Vice President Boakai loyalty and patriotism to country have been proven throughout his barely 42years service in government.

“On elections day, Margibians should not forget about the Boakai and Nuquay as one of your kinds” Senator Sherman reminded the audience.

He added that Amb Boakai has been tested, tried, and has the requisite experience to lead a prosperous Liberia, especially for the benefit of the country the young people.   

The Grand Cape Mount County Senator boasted that Vice President Boakai and Speaker Nuquay are the only two candidates in the 2017 elections that have the recipe to the country problems because they are knowledgeable on government.

For his part, House Speaker and Unity Party vice standard bearer James Emmanuel Nuquay praised the Margibi County Women Congress for re-energizing the women wing activities in the county.

Speaker Nuquay admonished the women to go out and canvass for the needed votes, adding that, “When we produce the votes to make the Unity Party victorious, it will be the first that our county will be producing a vice President of Liberia”.
