The two sides go into Friday’s Clash without a  point  and will need the maximum point to start their campaign.

Speaking to FrontPage Africa ahead of the match Macculley who plays in Malaysia said the Lone Star will go into the game looking for nothing less than maximum  three points against their counterparts from Malawi  as they continue to  seek  their first win at the SKD Sports Complex  since it was refurbished from nature grass to artificial turf.

“We have been training hard ahead of this match.

“The last result wasn’t good for us,  we play well and at the end we lost.”

But this time we are at home again, which is crucial for Us, the Coach has been working on both defence and scoring goals,  which is our lapses and we believe we can pull off a positive result against Malawi.

“Malawi got a good and young  team , but we are playing together as a team and can make  the difference, the former Monrovia club Breweries  FC player told FrontPage Africa Sports desk.

Macauley admitted that the Lone Star will have to be at their best to beat the visitors.

“They will be dangerous in their attack and will do everything to win, but we need to be kind and keep up all of the threats and also beat them”

“This is  a very crucial game, we have to win which will set us up in the group.

”we have not had in a very long time together, but we are capable of putting up a good performance against them as we did in recent  games” Marcus added:

Macculley,  who is on glittering form  in the Malaysian premier League will hope to replicate such performance for the Lone Star,.

Meanwhile Coach Ansumana Keita  has a full squad  to give him the needed result.
