The win confirmed Neftchi as champions on the penultimate matchday, sparking celebrations across the city and pride among Liberians following the exploits of one of their own on the international stage.

This latest triumph became Nimely’s second major career trophy, following his 2017/18 Russian Super Cup victory with Spartak Moscow.

“This Means a Lot for Every One of Us” – Nimely Speaks After Win

Speaking to the media shortly after the title was confirmed, the former Monrovia Club Breweries striker expressed deep gratitude and joy.

“this means a lot for every one of us, mostly the people of this great club.”

The Liberian forward, who once finished as the second-highest scorer in the Uzbekistan league, said returning to the country and lifting the league trophy is a huge plus for both his career and the club.

“He said he’s impressed with the championship, reflecting on his time in Uzbekistan where he ended as second highest scorer of the league, and coming back to win the league is a plus for his career and the club,”

Praise for the Supporters

Nimely also reserved high praise for the passionate fans of Neftchi Fergana.

He described them as “the best”, adding that their unwavering support throughout the season motivated the players to push harder, especially in difficult moments.
