Liberia: Son of Ex–Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor Dies at JFK Hospital

Charles Phillip Taylor Jr., son of former Liberian Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, has died, the family has confirmed.

Relatives said Taylor Jr. passed away on Tuesday at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital at about 3:29 p.m. Details surrounding the cause of death were not immediately disclosed.

In July 2023, Taylor Jr. was celebrated by his family following his academic achievement, after earning a Master’s degree in Shipping and Port Administration from the Regional Maritime University in Accra, Ghana.

The death has plunged the family into mourning, with sympathies pouring in from friends and well-wishers across Liberia and the region.
