Monrovia – Veteran Economist and Politician, Dr. Togba-Nah Tipoteh, predicts that Mrs. Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State, former Senator and Presidential Candidate of the Democratic Party of the United States of America (USA), will win the Elections, to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, to become the next President of the USA.
In the midst of the immense electoral suspense about the Elections in the USA, several journalists converged on Dr. Tipoteh to get his view on the Elections.
Dr. Tipoteh, in a Statement, told the journalists that Mrs. Clinton will win the Elections to become the first woman to serve as President of the USA.
He said that many Liberians are accustomed to making the USA the main reference point for arriving at decisions on Liberia.
This time, these Liberians will be disappointed because they will find out that Americans in the USA are using Liberia as the main reference point for the election of a woman as President, following the example of Liberia with the election of Ellen Johnson Sirleaf as the first woman President in the history of Africa.
Dr. Tipoteh went on to say that the USA is the Superpower, but Liberia remains ahead of the USA when it comes to electing a woman as President.
When the journalists asked Dr. Tipoteh to state his reasons for his prediction, he replied that there is record of overwhelming support for Mrs. Clinton coming from women and minority groupings, like the African-Americans and the Latin-American Americans mainly because of the anti-women and anti-minority posture of the Presidential Candidate of the Republican Party, Mr. Donald Trump.
Furthermore, Mr. Trump’s anti-immigrant stance, with particular disdain for Muslims, turns large numbers of voters to Mrs. Clinton. These voters are particularly mindful of the fact that the USA is a Land composed mainly of immigrants who met the Indians upon migrating from other parts of the world.
Dr.Tipoteh also observed that the successful bailing out of the USA economy from the global financial crisis of 2008, under the Republican Bush regime, by Mr. Barack Obama, an African-American who is President of the USA and Leader of the Democratic Party has made the President very popular and and this popularity is supportive of Mrs. Clinton, as President Obama goes around campaigning for Mrs. Clinton.
Dr. Tipoteh ended his Statement on the Elections by reminding the journalists that his predictions on President Obama were correct and it is this same analytical mind that is predicting victory for Mrs. Hillary Clinton.
