Monrovia – Representative Bernard Blue Benson Jr. of Montserrado County Electoral District 17 has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development, emphasizing that sustainable progress is anchored in strong infrastructure—particularly improved road networks across communities in his district.
Outlining his 2026 development agenda, Rep. Benson identified the construction and rehabilitation of community roads and bridges as top priorities, alongside targeted initiatives aimed at empowering women.
According to the lawmaker, these interventions are critical to enhancing accessibility, stimulating local economic activities, and improving the overall living standards of residents.
As part of ongoing efforts, Rep. Benson announced the successful completion of the first culvert installation on the Parker Corner–Kepkor Road, a development he described as a major boost to transportation flow and drainage in the area.
He further disclosed that work will commence shortly on a second culvert along the same route, signaling continued progress and effective project implementation.
Beyond culvert construction, Rep. Benson said his team has begun grading and reopening several long-abandoned roads and alleys, with particular focus on the Boika Town community in Central Brewerville.
These interventions, he noted, are intended to restore neglected access routes, ease movement, enhance safety, and promote broader community development.
Rep. Benson said the ongoing projects reflect his inclusive development agenda—one that prioritizes underserved communities and ensures that infrastructure investments deliver tangible benefits to the daily lives of citizens.
