HARPER, Maryland – Police in the south eastern county of Maryland have arrested six persons for allegedly murdering and criminally conspiring in the mysterious death of Iweso Prowd in Harper District.
Prowd, who was 50 years of age, was tied up and beaten by 15 persons in Kudikude Village on March 6. The village is approximately 10 miles away from the county’s political capital.
Those arrested include Sunday Allison age 50,Edward Dweh Allison age 45,Morris Kla Allison age 28 ,Moses B.Allison age 37 other are Friday Howe age 27 and Marh S .Allison age 25 have been forwarded to the Harper City Magisterial court awaiting trial.
The Liberian National Police Maryland detachment is encouraging citizens residing in the county to turn over Jacob Howe ,Sie Prowd, Sebeh Allison and Benjamin Howe. Others are Nathaniel Howe, Judy Shannon, Joe S. Allison, Francis Teba Allison and Ezekiel Doe Howe for their alleged role in the murdering Iweso Prowd.
According to the Police charge sheet and preliminary investigation, the police and health practitioners upon hearing of the murder of Prowd visited the crime scene and found him severally injured all over his body.
The 15-man coroner jurors set up observed that the deceased was beaten with all kinds of objects for which bruises were seen all over his body and subsequently led to his sudden death.
Medical reports revealed deep lacerations all over his body.
Defendant Edward Dweh Allison told investigators that the deceased had gone into his house to steal chicken.
According to defendant Allison, he heard feet sound around his house and when he checked who it was, he saw the deceased in his kitchen. With the help of his brother, according to him, he caught him and tied him up and alarmed the neighborhood.
Edward Dweh Allison and Sunday Allison said in their statements when they people came around they both turned him over for they people who began to beat him and later gave the deceased to his family.
According to the police, their act is in violation of the Section 14.1 and 14.10 of the New Penal Code.
