The consignment, which includes a wide range of medications and medical equipment, was presented on January 23, 2024, as part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare delivery in Bong County.
Club Kwatekeh, a chapter of the United Bong County Association in the Americas (UBCAA), has long been committed to supporting Liberia’s health sector.
This donation follows a partnership with the TRENAA Organization in the United States, which has previously collaborated with Club Kwatekeh in similar efforts.
Mr. Wilton Sankawulo Jr., Country Representative of Club Kwatekeh in Liberia, delivered the supplies to the hospital administration, urging that the medical supplies be used to benefit patients free of charge.
“This donation is part of our continued effort to ensure that quality healthcare reaches those in need, particularly in Bong County,” Sankawulo said.
Mr. Blyden Kennedy, Secretary General of Club Kwatekeh and liaison officer for TRENAA, noted that this marks the second donation from TRENAA through the Club Kwatekeh partnership. He expressed gratitude to TRENAA and its CEO, Mr. Harry Kpoh, for their generous contribution.
Kennedy also highlighted Club Kwatekeh’s longstanding commitment to aiding Liberia, emphasizing the organization’s ongoing efforts to address the needs of the underserved population.

Club Kwatekeh’s President, Mrs. Rose Cooper, praised the hard work and dedication of the organization’s members, thanking them for their ongoing support. She also acknowledged the positive impact of these donations on the healthcare system in Liberia.
Dr. Minnie Sankawulo Risks, Medical Director of Phebe Hospital, expressed deep appreciation for the donation, emphasizing its importance to the hospital’s ability to provide care to patients in need. She assured the donors that the medical supplies would be used as intended — to serve patients without charge.
Dr. Ricks also acknowledged the previous contributions of Club Kwatekeh and called on the Liberian diaspora to continue supporting the hospital in its mission to provide healthcare to the people of Bong County and beyond.
This donation is just one of many humanitarian initiatives carried out by Club Kwatekeh over the years, underscoring the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of the people of Liberia.
