The accident occurred Friday, August 7  in Centa Town, Margibi County, when the spring of the vehicle’s left rear tire reportedly broke, causing the vehicle to lose control and overturn into a nearby valley.

Wowoh, who was reportedly driving alone at the time of the incident, was rescued from the wreckage.

Despite the accident, he proceeded to Gbarnga, where he participated in the signing of a 15-year Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Opportunity Network Liberia and LICOSESS College of Education.

According to a press release posted on the LICOSESS Facebook page, the agreement provides for the transfer of management and academic leadership of the CAN Leadership Academy School System to LICOSESS College of Education.

The partnership is intended to expand access to quality education while strengthening teacher preparation and educational delivery in Montserrado, Bong and Nimba Counties.

Under the agreement, LICOSESS College of Education will assume responsibility for the academic, administrative, institutional, and quality assurance management of the CAN Leadership Academy school system.

Opportunity Network Liberia, meanwhile, will continue to provide strategic oversight as the founding institution.

The signing ceremony followed a series of transition and turnover meetings conducted on July 30 and 31 at CAN Leadership Academy campuses in Jacob Town, Montserrado County; Gbarnga, Bong County; and Neigbein, Nimba County.
