MONROVIA – The administration of the Liberia National Police (LNP) has dismissed Chief Inspector Daniel G. Flomo (LNP-2355), formerly Deputy Commander of the Crime Services Division (CSD) at the Bong County Police Headquarters for Neglect of Duty.
The dismissal takes immediate effect and follows an administrative investigation which established that Chief Inspector Flomo failed to take appropriate action to ensure that detainee Charles Kollie received necessary medical attention while in police custody.
Findings revealed that despite being informed by officers of the Bravo Shift about the detainee’s deteriorating health condition, Chief Inspector Flomo neglected his duty to facilitate timely medical intervention.
This action is consistent with Section 8.4(c) of the Liberia National Police Act and Regulations of 2015, as well as Section 5.1 (p) of the Administrative Instructions on Discipline and Professional Standards, which classifies such conduct as misconduct.
The dismissed officer has been directed to immediately surrender all government-issued property, including his badge, uniform, identification card and any other official equipment, to the Human Resource Management Division. He is further prohibited from identifying himself as a member of the Liberia National Police.
The Liberia National Police remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and duty of care. The institution will continue to enforce disciplinary measures against any officer whose actions or omissions undermine public trust, professional ethics, or established policing standards.
