Addressing a cross-section of citizens and members of the Margibi County Legislative Caucus during the induction ceremony of Margibi County local government officials in Kakata, Mr. Kaine articulated his clear alignment with the ARREST agenda with focus on national framework, including agriculture, roads, education, security, and technology—pillars he identified as essential for Margibi’s progress.

“The ARREST agenda offers a clear roadmap for Liberia’s progress, and I am committed to aligning our county’s goals with this national vision,” the Margibi Development Officer declared.

Mr. Kaine outlined his strategic priorities, beginning with a focus on agriculture. He emphasized the importance of empowering youth and women in agricultural transformation, with the aim of boosting food security and creating sustainable economic growth through agro-based industries.

“Our land is rich with potential, and we must empower our people to become agents of agricultural transformation,” he said.

Connectivity, another cornerstone of development, was highlighted as a critical area for improvement. Mr. Kaine vowed to rehabilitate and expand the county’s road networks, a move he believes will not only enhance economic activities but also foster unity and integration among communities.

“Under the leadership of President Boakai, we will work tirelessly to ensure that every part of Margibi is connected to markets, schools, and health facilities,” Mr. Kaine stated.

Focus on Education and Security

Education, according to Mr. Kaine, is fundamental to the county’s future, expressing commitment to improving school infrastructure, teacher training and ensuring that all children have access to quality education.

“The future of Margibi lies in the minds of our young people. We will equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to lead us into a brighter tomorrow,” he affirmed.

In addressing security, the Margibi County Development Officer pledged to work closely with security agencies, traditional leaders, and community members to maintain peace and stability. He emphasized the need for dialogue and collaboration to resolve conflicts and promote harmony within communities.

Recognizing the importance of technology in today’s digital age, Mr. Kaine committed to embracing digital tools for governance, education, and economic advancement. He highlighted plans to enhance digital literacy and expand access to information and communication technologies, which he views as vital to opening new opportunities for the people of Margibi.

Mr. Kaine also turned his attention to the reconstruction of C.H. Rennie Hospital, which was devastated by a fire on August 15, 2021. The hospital, he said, has been more than just a healthcare facility; it has been a beacon of hope for the community.

He expressed his commitment to prioritizing the hospital’s reconstruction, working closely with the central government, international development partners, and community stakeholders to ensure the new facility is modern, well-equipped, and staffed with dedicated professionals.

Continuing, he added, “This reconstruction effort is not just about restoring a physical structure; it is about restoring trust, confidence, and hope for a brighter future,” Kaine emphasized. “We are determined to rebuild a healthcare facility that meets the needs of our people and stands as a symbol of our collective strength and unity.”

At the same time, Mr. Kaine used the occasion to call for unity and collective action, urging all citizens of Margibi to contribute to the county’s development, stressing the importance of partnerships and shared commitment.

He, however, vowed to lead with integrity, transparency, and a focus on delivering tangible results.

“Development is a collective effort that requires all of us—community leaders, citizens, and government officials—to work hand in hand,” Mr. Kaine said.

“Let us be guided by a shared vision of a prosperous Margibi, where every community thrives, and every citizen has a voice,” he urged.
