According to immigration authorities, the operation was carried out in execution of the court’s writ following an ongoing investigation into the alleged duplication and illegal sale of security gadgets and immigration-related materials.

Preliminary reports indicate that immigration officers discovered numerous duplicated security badges believed to have been intended for unlawful use.

The materials were allegedly being produced and distributed from the EL-IB Business Center, a commercial facility reportedly operated by several individuals.

Officials say the alleged activity constitutes a violation of the laws of the Republic of Liberia, particularly those governing the production and distribution of national security materials and immigration-related equipment.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact number of badges confiscated, but sources involved in the investigation described the quantity as “significant.”

The seizure forms part of broader efforts by immigration authorities to clamp down on the illegal duplication of security devices that could potentially threaten public safety and national security.

The Liberia Immigration Service has indicated that further investigations are underway to determine the full scope of the operation and to identify other individuals who may be connected to the alleged illegal activities.

Meanwhile, the confiscated materials remain in the custody of the Liberia Immigration Service as investigators continue their work.

Officials say anyone found responsible for the duplication and sale of restricted security items will face prosecution in accordance with the laws of Liberia.

More details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
