Liberia: Ex-Nimba County Superintendent Nelson Korquoi Is Dead

NIMBA – Former Nimba County Superintendent Nelson N. Korquoi has died while receiving treatment in Nimba County.

Family members confirmed the death of former Superintendent Korquoi to reporters. According to the family members, Mr. Korquoi had been ill with high blood pressure for less than two weeks before his death.

He was initially taken to Ganta United Methodist Hospital where he  spent a few days  and was later transferred to John F. Kennedy Medical Hospital.

He was eventually brought back to his home in Nimba County where he passed away. Mr. Korquoi served as Superintendent of Nimba County for six years under former President George Manneh Weah’s Administration.
