Speaking as the keynote speaker at the academy’s 4th graduation ceremony, Rep. Enders emphasized that Liberia is at a critical crossroads where the contributions of every citizen are vital for national growth and economic recovery. He urged the graduates to be agents of positive change, highlighting the importance of making an impact in their communities.
“If you want to be the change society talks about, you must measure your actions against what makes a democracy fruitful,” said the Montserrado District #6 lawmaker. “Be change-makers of potential value and leave a lasting impact on society.”
Enders encouraged the graduates to remain focused on capacity building despite challenges, advising them to choose career paths that strengthen both personal and national development.
“Today, you have earned the title of alumni. This is more than just a name—it symbolizes boldness, productivity, selflessness, and the drive to achieve your dreams. Let no challenge scare you away from reaching your goals or creating real change in society. While difficulties lie ahead, persistent consistency is the key to overcoming them,” he said.
Addressing parents, Rep. Enders commended them for supporting their children and urged them to continue nurturing their dreams.
“To the parents, your child’s success today brings pride, but it also places a responsibility on you to help turn their dreams into reality,” he noted.
He also applauded teachers and parents for their dedication to ensuring the students received quality education, emphasizing the importance of creating a supportive environment for all school-going children.
At the same event, Rep. Enders used the opportunity to draw attention to the ongoing political unrest at the Capitol Building, urging President Joseph Boakai to intervene after ECOWAS’s mediation efforts failed.
“The current situation at the Capitol Building demands careful and decisive action from the Executive branch. If left unresolved, it could have severe consequences for the citizens,” he warned.
The Montserrado County lawmaker expressed concern over the recent disarray among members of the 54th National Legislature, which has raised serious national concerns.
The ceremony marked the graduation of over 150 students from the African Dream Academy, with Rep. Enders calling on the graduates to embody resilience and determination as they step into the next phase of their lives.
