Liberia: Bong Lawmaker Responding to Treatment after Tragic Accident

Suakoko, Bong County – FrontPageAfrica has been able to confirm that Bong County District 4 Representative, Robert Womba, who was reported to be dead on social media after his tragic car accident over the weekend, is responding to treatment at Phebe Hospital in Bong County.

The lawmaker sustained severe injuries in the accident which occurred in Suakoko between 10:30-11:00am on Friday morning, according to Womba’s resource officer, James Janteh.

Womba and four of his office staff had to be pulled from the vehicle by community members, Janteh added.

Womba, 54, suffered injuries on his neck, legs and hands, Janteh added.

Janteh didn’t know how long Womba would be hospitalized. “He is resting and his family is there with him,” Janteh added.
