The Club President Madam Grace Weah accepted the symbolic check on behalf of the team, which recently clinched its latest league title.

The2024/2025 championship also marks the club’s fifth consecutive year earning the right to represent Liberia at the WAFU A CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers.

“This is a proud moment for the club and for women’s football in Liberia,” Madam Weah said. “We are grateful to the LFA for the continued support and recognition of our efforts on the pitch.”

The US$20,000 prize marks the second consecutive year the LFA has awarded such amount to the women’s league champions, signaling a significant commitment to elevating the profile of women’s football in the country.

Just a few years ago, the league winner received L550,000 (approximatelyUS2,750). This amount increased to US$10,000 in 2022 before being doubled in 2024.

“This is part of our broader goal to enhance competitiveness and support the growth of women’s football in Liberia,” the LFA Secretariat noted during the presentation.
