Monrovia – Representative Francis Sakila Nyumalin (UP-Lofa County District #1) is requesting President George Weah to withdraw the nomination of the Lofa County Superintendent-designate.

In a communication to plenary, the Lofa lawmaker requested the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Internal Affairs, Maryland County Senator J. Gbleh-bo Brown not to confirm William Tamba Kamba as Superintendent of Lofa County.
According to Rep. Nyumalin, the Kamba lacks the requisite academic credentials to govern the people of Lofa County.
He said Kamba has not obtained a high school diploma and therefore, cannot superintend the county.
“Let me state emphatically clear that Lofa County is not suffering from brain drain, even partisans of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Lofa chapter have amongst them qualified and competent individual for the post”.
The Lawmaker pointed out that in contemporary governance; academic credentials are cardinal for positions in government which is in consonance with international best practice.
“In the spirit of our oneness of purpose as a government and people, I request that the nominee should not and must not be confirmed by the Liberian Senate”.
