Issuance of Liberian Passports Suspended Due to Technical Problems

Monrovia – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public that due to some technical problems experienced over the last few days, the Bureau of Passport and Visas will not accept any new passport applications on Thursday and Friday, April 14 and 15, 2016.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, passport applicants are advised to return on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, which is the next enrolment date for children.

The Bureau of Passport and Visas also wants to clear the backlog of passports being processed that was created due to the technical problems. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs regrets any inconvenience this may cause the general public wishing to obtain a Liberian ECOWAS biometric passport.
