Grand Cape Mount County – The Presidential candidate on the ticket of the Movement for Economic empowerment, Dr. J. Mills Jones who entered the western region, particular Grand Cape Mount County recently unlocked the county with citizens in the areas pledging their support to his Presidential bid.

Speaking during the visitation ceremony in the town of Gbah Foboi, Grand Cape Mount, Varney Kamara, youth leader, recounted the numerous support, Dr. Jones has being giving the people in the county as its relates to their educational sojourn.
Kamara noted that the MOVEE Presidential candidate has been the highest contributor to the scholarship fund drive of the state-run university of Liberia, noting that his contribution has impacted the lives of residents in the county immensely, thereby winning admiration of the people.
As a sign of support to Dr. Jones, a symbolic key was presented him to unlocked Grand Cape Mount that is perceived to be locked by other opponent.
Elder Morris Boima said the role of Dr. Jones as a former Central Bank Governor, greatly changed the lives of the ordinary people, who are now contributing to the economy of this country.
He said the microloan scheme policy that was implemented under the administration of Dr. Jones reduced the level of hardship that was created by the current regime, adding that putting the MOVEE Presidential candidates at the helm of power will change the lives of the downtrodden masses.
Elder Boima intimated that Dr. Jones mainly focused on the rural women, by providing them with the loan, which they used to support their family and other relatives in times of need.
In response, Dr. Jones called on the citizens of Grand Cape Mount to vote for the right leader, who will change their living standard in the country.
He said for so long the people of this country has been yearning for change, he believes empowering the people economically will somehow bring relief to the country.
The Liberian economist also said if elected as the next President for Liberia, his government will endeavor to diversify the Liberian economy.
Dr. Jones said the MOVEE’s government will heavily invest in agriculture and other incoming generating sectors to create a middle income society.
He also promised to increase the salary of teachers as well as health workers in the country.
Dr. Jones disclosed that Liberians would be prime actors of his economic diversification scheme to prevent money laundering.
The MOVEE political leader noted that such a move would add value to the Liberian dollars and high exchange rates would be things of the past.
Dr. Jones, who is currently touring the entire county as part of his campaign activities reminded the people that come October 10, they should vote for MOVEE representatives in District #1, Thomas Fahn, District 2, Sando Boima and District #3, Sheik Abu Kromah.
